Come and experience the incredible majesty of Niagara Falls. Our tour will drop you in the heart of all the attractions. After a thrilling ride on the Maid of the Mist feel free to explore the souvenir shopping on Clifton Hill, the incredible heights of the observation towers and the glitzy attraction of the casinos that are all within walking distance.
After a 2 hour layover for sightseeing, passengers will return to the busses for our picturesque trip along the river parkway to Niagara-on the-Lake. This charming small town is filled with history and forms the centre of viniculture in Ontario.
A tour of Strewn Winery will be next on the agenda.
Since their inception nearly a dozen years ago, Strewn has been committed to, and inspired by, the expression of “Terroir” or sense of place. Central to their philosophy is the belief that all great wine starts in the vineyard. Your one hour tour will also start with a visit to the vineyard (weather permitting) and then move through the Cellar, concluding with a Private Tasting of three wines.
Located within Strewn Winery, Terroir La Cachette restaurant offers a truly regional experience where guests will gather to enjoy their evening meal. Through the use of locally grown and raised products, Chef Alain Levesque presents French Provençal style of cooking to bring the flavours of the Niagara region to your palate, both on the plate and in the glass.
The building in which the restaurant is housed was originally a fruit cannery in the 1930's, and was a focal point of the community at that time. The original structure has been retained, although the interior has been completely re-modeled. In the restaurant, large windows overlook Four Mile Creek, and the décor is warm and contemporary.
A 4-course menu featuring fresh, seasonal ingredients with a glass of wine included will be offered as luncheon. A description of the menu appears below.
The following 4-course menu provides a lovely sample of the chef’s abilities and embraces the local and seasonal bounty, with a vegetarian main course offered (prior notification would be required). A single glass of wine will be included with the luncheon. A cash bar and additional bottles would be available from the server.
Mixed Baby Greens with Champagne Vinaigrette & Vegetable Julienne
House Smoked Trout with Arugula & Walnuts
Roasted Chicken with Honey, Apples and White Wine Cream
Sun Dried Tomato, Wild Mushroom & Roasted Garlic Fettuccine with Fruity Olive Oil
